Nathiya joined PEaCE/ECPAT Sri Lanka in 2023 as an Assistant Project Officer. She has completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the South Eastern University. She is currently reading for a Diploma in the Sinhala Language at the University of Kelaniya. The title of her dissertation has been 'Social impact of COVID-19 on tourism-based communities: A study focusing on the horse-riding community in Nuwara-Eliya'. She has also completed an internship at the Zonal education office in Nuwara-Eliya.
