Madhushan Senevirathna

Programme Officer

Madhushan Senevirathna joined ECPAT Sri Lanka as a Programme Officer in March 2024, serving as the focal point for Child Protection in the Travel and Tourism Sector.

He holds a Second-Class Upper Division Honours Degree in International Relations from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Cultural Diplomacy from the University of Babes-Bolyai (UBB), Romania, where he graduated in 2019 with a GPA of 9.43 out of 10.00. Additionally, he was awarded an Erasmus+ Scholarship to study at the University of Debrecen, Hungary, representing UBB Romania during the Spring 2019 semester.

Madhushan received the University Colours Award from the University of Colombo in 2013 and 2014. He has participated as an official delegate and panel member in numerous national and international conferences and webinars, both online and offline. With six years of experience in the international development sector, he specialises in child and youth development and has worked across government, corporate, and NGO sectors.

As a Research Analyst, his primary interests include youth and child development, international relations, and security studies. Currently, he serves as a Youth Representative for the Sectoral Oversight Committees on National Security and International Relations in the Parliament of Sri Lanka. He is also passionate about learning German and travelling.
