Project Officer
She has a rich professional background, having worked as a Beneficiary Data Management Assistant for the Humanitarian Cash Transfer Project at UNICEF Sri Lanka, as a Project Coordinator at Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement HQ in Moratuwa, and as an Intern in Finance at Save the Children International in Wellawatte. Additionally, she has volunteered in the Emergency Response Project at Save the Children International and worked as an Enumerator and V-Force Volunteer with the Research, Analysis, and Monitoring Team at the World Food Program in Colombo.Lihini holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from the University of Colombo. She is pursuing a master’s degree in development studies at the University of Colombo's Faculty of Graduate Studies. She also completed a diploma in human resource management and development at the University of Colombo. Furthermore, she holds an N.V.Q. Level 3 in Computer Technology from the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission. Lihini has a keen interest in modern technology and digital well-being, continually expanding her knowledge as a self-learner.
She is a dynamic Project Management professional with expertise in implementation, data management, documentation, and event organising. With proven success in humanitarian initiatives, she excels in stakeholder engagement, grassroots community engagement, reporting, and event coordination. As a skilled communicator and strategic thinker, she effectively manages complex projects.
