OCSEA Awareness for Teachers from Boralesgamuwa Maha Vidyalaya and Raththanapitiya Ananda Vidyalayawa

On 19th July, a comprehensive awareness session on Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA) was conducted for 32 teachers from Boralesgamuwa Maha Vidyalaya and Raththanapitiya Ananda Vidyalaya. This KIOS-funded initiative aimed to equip educators with the knowledge and tools necessary to identify, prevent, and respond to risks associated with online abuse and exploitation of children. The session covered key topics, including understanding the dynamics of OCSEA, recognising the signs of exploitation, and fostering safer digital environments for students. By empowering teachers, the program sought to build a protective network within schools to ensure that children are supported and protected both online and offline.
