On January 18th, an awareness raising programme was held in Grandpass, Colombo for teachers in Holy Trinity Church, Kingdom Kids

On March 15th, two awareness raising programmes were held in Dedigamuwa Kanishta Vidyalaya and Philip Thilakawardena Vidyalaya in Nawagamuwa.
In February, PEaCE successfully conducted series of awareness programmes with one training programme in Batticaloa. PEaCE received numerous requests from various officials to conduct additional programmes for various stakeholders as a result of the great success of their previous programmes.

ECPAT International’s newest report looks at the sexual exploitation of boys in Sri Lanka and reveals how male children and SOGIE diverse children who have experienced sexual exploitation have little choice but to adapt to exploitative, abusive and traumatic situations via behavioural scripts that limit their ability to express feelings of hurt, fear and vulnerability or to seek help.
After months of lockdown which resulted in halting of activities, PEaCE was able to resume with our work starting the month of November 2021.

Over the three-month period covering August, September and October 2020, PEaCE-ECPAT Sri Lanka reached 767 important actors through awareness and training sessions.
PEaCE – ECPAT Sri Lanka reached 294 important stakeholders in July through training and awareness programs on sexual abuse and exploitation of children, particularly sexual abuse and exploitation of children online and sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism.
