Public Awareness Campaign – Kiribathgoda

PEaCE project officers were actively raising public awareness on 15th December in the Kiribathgoda area. The awareness program was in the form of a street drama with an outreach of 6000 individuals. Several public areas were selected such as the main bus station, public market, retail shops and a few shopping complexes. The objective of the awareness program was to raise awareness among the public on Sexual Exploitation of Children Online and Child Abuse. The program was made a success with the persistent assistance of the Police Officers of Kiribathgoda and Sri Lanka Police. Special thanks go out to the street drama team and District Children’s Council volunteers for aiding with the sticker campaign and leaflet distribution.
