Awareness Programmes – January 2022

In January, PEaCE was successful in conducting several awareness programmes, despite the ongoing pandemic. Adhering to the safety regulations set forth by the government, the programmes were met with great success, resulting in numerous requests from various officials for PEaCE to conduct additional programmes for different stakeholders.

The awareness programmes conducted during the month of January are listed below.

 

8th January – Awareness Raising Programmes for the children in Viharamahadevii Children’s Home

An awareness programme on Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse was held in Viharamahadevi Children’s Home. with the participation of more than 40 children. The programme was organized by the Child Rights Promotion Officer of the Gampaha Division along with PEaCE.

9th January – Awareness Raising Programmes for the children in Gampaha held in Kalukondayava Community Hall

More than 80 children from Viharamahadevi Children’s Home had the opportunity to participate in an awareness programme on Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse. The programme was organised by the Child Rights Promotion Officer of the Gampaha Division along with PEaCE, and was sure to be an informative and engaging experience for all involved

12th January – Awareness Raising Programmes for the students of Viharamahadevi Vidyalaya

The Child Rights Promotion Officer of the Gampaha Division and PEaCE organized an awareness programme on Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse in Viharamahadevi Vidyalaya, which was attended by over 85 children.

19th January – Awareness Raising Programmes for the students of Maththumagala Roman Catholic Vidyalaya

The Child Rights Promotion Officer of the Gampaha Division, in collaboration with PEaCE, organized an awareness programme on Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, which was held at Maththumagala Roman Catholic Vidyalaya and attended by over 180 children.

27th January – Awareness Raising Programmes for the students of Mutuwal Hindu College, Modara

Teachers of Mutwal Hindu College and PEaCE organized an awareness programme on Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, which was held at Maththumagala Roman Catholic Vidyalaya and attended by over 100 children.
