Ms. Lakmali Udugampola is an Attorney-at-Law by profession with a keen interest in socio-economic issues affecting people.
Lakmali Udugampola is an Attorney-at-Law by profession. During the period 1997 – 2001, she volunteered as a youth activist / coordinator and made representations at global forums on the issue of commercial sexual exploitation of children in Sri Lanka and the work carried out by PEaCE in turn, to address this issue. She worked with marginalised communities especially around the beach areas in the country and supported the education and self-employment, programmes carried out for children, young people and women by the organisation. She has a keen interest in socio-economic issues affecting people both locally and globally with special focus on the environment and the exploitation and abuse of the most vulnerable segments of our society – its children. Lakmali has a Post – Graduate Diploma in International Affairs and a Post – Graduate Diploma in International Trade Law.
